A Wash That Does Not Damage Paint
Every wash we do starts with a contact free stage: pre soak and foam to lift grit off the paint before anything touches it. Only then does a clean wash mitt come out, with grit guards in the rinse bucket so dirt is not carried back to the panel.
Drying is done with plush twist loop microfiber rather than a blade or a chamois, and the finish is sealed with a wax or sealant so water beads and road film has a harder time sticking.

The Two Bucket Method, and Why It Is Not Optional
One bucket means every time you reload the mitt you are dipping it into water that already contains the grit you just took off the car. That grit goes straight back onto the paint on the next pass.
Two buckets separate rinse from wash. The mitt is agitated against a grit guard in the rinse bucket so the debris drops to the bottom, then reloaded from clean soapy water. It is a five dollar change to the process that prevents most wash induced swirling.
We add to that with a contact free stage first. Pre soak and foam do most of the work chemically, so by the time a mitt touches the panel there is far less abrasive material sitting on it.
